GEOINT (Geospatial Intelligence) is the collection and analysis of information from geospatial data and images – such as satellite images, aerial photographs and geographic information systems (GIS). The aim is to identify physical locations, movements and activities on Earth and place them in a geographical context. GEOINT supports military, security-related and humanitarian decisions through precise situation and environment analyses.
