Direction Finding (DF)
Direction finding (DF) is a method for determining the direction from which a radio signal is being transmitted. Special antennas and signal processing techniques are used to measure the angle of incidence of the signal in order to locate the position or movement of the source.
DF is a key element in SIGINT systems, as it helps to identify, track and georeference transmitters.
