In mid-June, our CEO Gregor Zowierucha had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions with key figures in German security and defence policy.
In direct dialogue with Bettina Lugk, Deputy Chair of the Defence Committee; Jens Lehmann, Christoph Pohlmann, Niklas Wagener, Robin Wagener and Bastian Alfons Ernst, members of the Defence Committee; Sebastian Schäfer, spokesperson on budgetary policy; and Julian Joswig (member of the Economic Affairs Committee), the discussion centred on the most pressing issues relating to the modernisation of our armed forces.

The discussions have once again demonstrated that security requires cooperation. Three core competencies and insights played a key role in the discussions:
- The central importance of electronic warfare (EloKa): Electronic warfare (EloKa) is the fundamental pillar underpinning the Army’s operational readiness and ability to assert itself in modern conflict scenarios
- Tailored support: PLATH’s focus is on supporting the Army and the CIR organisational area with innovative sensors and software precisely where the operational challenges lie.
- SMEs as a driver of innovation: The pace of innovation is accelerating rapidly. This makes continuous, agile dialogue between politicians, the Bundeswehr and industry all the more important in order to break down bureaucratic barriers and bring innovations to the troops more quickly.
